Born in Canada, moved to Australia what seems 1000 years ago to have a look – stayed. Awesome country; great people. Retired High School teacher (English). Worked as a part time journalist. Published author. About the art - :A year or so ago, I was gazing at the view over the parklands at the ocean (Hallett Cove) from our lounge room window and decided to sketch the view (with an HB pencil on a writing pad.) Just for the heck of it. Encouraged by my beautiful wife (whose ‘eye’ has been invaluable) things went on. An eclectic collection of pieces eventuated: A series of North American First Nation portraits (a couple of reasons for that: they can have such interesting faces, and, my grandmother was a Pottawattomie, part of the Sioux nation.) Landscapes, ‘Big’ skies, animals, portraits of family and friends, folders of bits and pieces, and commissioned pieces. I may have come to this late but I intend to be doing it until the perch drops out from under me.
