Simon. C. SMITH
My love and relationship with the remote South Australian landscape continues to evolve and grow as I further explore and come to understand the fine line and inextricable links between how the perceptions of beauty can so rapidly become one of isolation, fear and despair. My work reflects this evolving relationship in how depicting a seemingly vacant landscape evokes emotions grounded in a complex myriad of social, political and cultural history
